Description

Past Master Blue Lodge Apron – Blue Velvet Gold Bullion Fringe Hand Embroidered

Royal blue velvet carries the Past Master Blue Lodge Apron with a surface depth that plain fabric cannot replicate. Gold bullion thread works across the full apron face in a hand embroidered pattern that covers the Square and Compasses at center, a decorative wreath surround, floral and leaf spray motifs extending across both sides, and a radiating sun emblem at the top flap center. The density of the embroidery across this apron is what separates it from standard Lodge aprons — there is very little exposed blue velvet ground visible when the piece is viewed from chapter room distance.

The apron measures 14 inches high by 16 inches wide, excluding the gold metallic fringe that runs along the bottom and side edges. That fringe carries the weight and fall of genuine gold metallic construction, hanging in even tassels that maintain their line through procession and seated ceremony alike. Blue chenille borders the flap, adding a textural contrast between the soft chenille edge and the velvet body beneath it.

Past Master rank within Blue Lodge carries specific visual requirements. The combination of deep royal blue velvet, full-face gold bullion embroidery, and heavy gold fringe is the established visual language of this grade. Brothers in the Lodge room read Past Master rank from this apron before the officer takes his seat, and the density of the gold work across the full apron face makes that identification immediate.

A glove pocket on the reverse of the apron is lined with blue fine polyester, giving the Past Master a practical storage point for gloves during ceremony without disrupting the front face of the apron. The matching blue polyester adjustable belt runs 40 inches long with a golden snake fastener and adjuster, fitting waistlines up to 54 inches without requiring alteration.

White satin at the lower center panel behind the Square and Compasses emblem provides the ground contrast that makes the gold embroidery read most clearly. The blue chenille flap border, gold bullion fringe, and full-face embroidered motifs together produce a piece that meets the visual standard the Past Master chair demands at every Lodge meeting.

Product Features

What covers the full face of this apron?

Gold bullion thread hand embroidered across the complete apron face — Square and Compasses at center, decorative wreath surround, floral and leaf spray motifs on both sides, and a radiating sun emblem at the flap — leaves very little exposed velvet ground visible at Lodge room distance.

What keeps the gold fringe hanging evenly through procession?

Gold metallic fringe running along the bottom and both side edges carries enough weight in each tassel to maintain an even hang through procession movement and seated ceremony without bunching or pulling at the attachment line.

What makes the belt fit correctly for any waistline?

The 40-inch blue polyester adjustable belt with golden snake fastener and adjuster fits waistlines up to 54 inches, allowing the apron to sit correctly at the waist without alteration or additional hardware.

What practical feature does the reverse carry?

A glove pocket on the back of the apron, lined in blue fine polyester, gives the Past Master a clean storage point for gloves during ceremony without any visible addition to the front face of the piece.
